The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Tuesday vowed to extend cooperation to each other in the forthcoming Senate by-election.
According to details, the PPP had decided to extend support to the JUI-F in Balochistan. The JUI-F will vote for the PPP in the National Assembly.
JUI-F leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and PPP leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari announced the agreement in a joint press conference.
Haideri said: “If we [JUI-F] contest elections jointly, then our members will be elected unopposed.”
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts, former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said: “This understanding is a very good move. We want good working relations in parliament. This is why both [PPP and JUI-F] are cooperating with each other.”
– Coalition govt will look to revive country’s economy –
Few days back, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that the coalition government will look to revive the country’s economy.
Expressing his thoughts, Bhutto-Zardari resolved to “accomplish the mission” of the charter of the economy by joining hands with the allies. “This time around, we will have more success than before," he added.
