Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) accepted the resignation of the Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam on Wednesday.
The PCB spokesperson in a statement said the decision of Babar Azam showed decision showed his desire to focus fully on batting.
“The selection committee will begin the process of developing the future white ball strategy including the recommendation of a new captain,” PCB said.
The PCB said the cricket board has been supporting Babar Azam before and would continue to do so.
“Babar Azam still has a lot to give Pakistan cricket,” the PCB said.
