Türkiye's Ambassador to Pakistan Erfan Neziroglu called on Federal Minister for Communications, Privatization, and the Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan.
During the meeting, Ambassador Neziroglu emphasised the favourable conditions and shared objectives between Türkiye and Pakistan, highlighting the mutual desire to enhance cooperation in various sectors.
"The conditions between us are favourable, the objectives are clear, and the destination is the same," Neziroglu remarked. He added that Türkiye is keen to institutionalize business relations with Pakistan to build on the existing collaboration and foster deeper economic ties.
Minister Aleem Khan, acknowledging Türkiye’s impressive developmental models, expressed Pakistan’s interest in adopting these models for its own growth. He noted that Pakistan is eager to explore the best investment options, particularly through joint ventures. "We are keen to adopt the best investment practices, including joint ventures, to benefit from Türkiye’s experience in development," he said.
The two leaders engaged in a comprehensive discussion regarding the promotion of mutual relations and addressed several issues related to bilateral trade.
Aleem Khan emphasised the importance of transforming the long-standing friendly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye into robust business partnerships. He pointed to the vast investment opportunities in sectors such as communications, infrastructure, and road networks.
"Improving the road network is a significant challenge. Development in any country is only possible when it is connected through highways," Aleem Khan explained. He added that strengthening these transport links would play a vital role in enhancing connectivity and boosting economic growth.
The Federal Minister also expressed his belief that the deep-rooted brotherly ties between the peoples of Pakistan and Türkiye could be further strengthened by facilitating business and people-to-people connections. "Our role is to bring businesses and people closer. The rest will follow naturally," he said, stressing the need for both countries' companies to seize the opportunity for mutual profit.
Ambassador Neziroglu thanked Aleem Khan for his warm welcome and assured him of Türkiye's full cooperation in advancing bilateral investment initiatives. He suggested adopting a workable model for joint investment projects to ensure the growth and success of future business ventures between the two nations.
