A five-day Inter-Regional Volleyball Championship Talent hunt has been kicked off by the Pakistan Army in Peshawar.
The opening ceremony was held on Friday and attended by senior officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Directorate Sports along with military officials. Eight teams from different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are participating.
Three teams under 16, under 18, and 21 will be formed by selecting 20 players who have shown the best performance in the competitions. Selected players will be trained by qualified coaches.
KP Director General Sports Abdul Nasir said that the selected players will be given Rs45,000 per month by the Pakistan Army for six months, while after the camp, Rs15,000 will be given per month until the National Championship.
These efforts of the Pakistan Army aim to bring positive change in the country's conditions and restore the glory of the sports field, for progress towards a healthy society, which will provide the youth with the best opportunities to move forward.
