Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Tuesday demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja amid political imbroglio.
Expressing his thoughts, Khan said: "There is a dire need to hold transparent accountability for the rigged elections."
He said: "The ECP CEC has become controversial. The electoral watchdog has failed to fulfil its election duties.".
"We are having the demand to organise Form 47 in line with Form 45," Khan said.
Speaking about the negotiations with the Sunni Ittehad Council, Khan stated, "We have reached an agreement with the Sunni Ittehad Council."
"Yesterday, the list of 50 MNAs was sent to the ECP," Khan said.
He said, “The PTI had emerged victorious on the 180 NA seats.”.
"The former commissioner, Liaquat Chatta, and his family should be given protection," Khan said.

Earlier on Monday, the PTI announced that newly elected independent candidates in National and all other provincial assemblies will join the Sunni Ittehad Council as a party.
PTI's top brass flanked by Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) Chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Sunni Ittehad Council Supremo Sahibzada Hamid Raza held a presser in Islamabad today.
Stressing the party's support for the independent candidates, Barrister Gohar claiming that PTI secured 180 seats in the National Assembly affirmed that all nominees had PTI endorsement on their nomination papers.
Barrister Gohar reiterated the shared vision of the coalition, stating that the decision to join the Sunni Ittehad Council aimed to foster unity and progress across the nation.
