Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khawaja Sohail Mansoor on Wednesday bid adieu to the party.
According to the details, Mansoor had relinquished his party position. He had sent his resignation to the party chairman.
In the recently held elections, Mansoor contested from NA-250.
It was in November 2023 that Mansoor decided to join the PPP after leaving the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
– PPP Lahore chief resigns –
Few days back, it was reported that PPP President Lahore Aslam Gill resigned over PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari's defeat in NA 127 to Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) candidate Atta Tarrar.
Sources familiar with the situation claimed that Aslam Gill's resignation was demanded by the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the PPP which sought a detailed inquiry into the party chairman's defeat.
Sources claimed that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto was very angry over the low votes in NA-127.
