Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday announced the party's nominees for the positions of speaker and deputy speaker of the Sindh Assembly.
Addressing a meeting, Bilawal declared Owais Shah as the party's nominee for speaker of the Sindh Assembly and Naveed Anthony for the deputy speaker's position.
Moreover, the PPP leader also announced Murad Ali Shah would once again be taking the reins of the province as its chief minister. He also lauded Agha Siraj Durrani for his role as the speaker of the provincial assembly, and said that the newly elected representatives would prioritize public opinion and work towards addressing the needs and aspirations of the people.
Furthermore, Bilawal clarified that the PPP had not sought any ministries from the federal government, adding that the party wished to focus on the rehabilitation of flood victims in Sindh and Balochistan. He highlighted the party's commitment to improving the education system through initiatives like the teachers' training program.
