Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Rana Sanaullah said on Sunday that President Dr Arif Alvi was bound by the prime minister’s advice.
Expressing his thoughts, Sanaullah emphasised the constitutional mandate of convening a National Assembly session within 21 days, underscoring the importance of upholding this requirement.
He recalled the recently held general elections, saying, “I was present in my constituency on February 8. I had bagged 113,000 votes. I was elected as the MNA for five years after bagging 106,000 votes".
"If opponents had taken 15,000 more votes than me, then we should not cause the uproar that the conspiracy was hatched against me,” he added.
Sanaullah maintained: “It does mean that I cannot handle the responsibilities within the party after losing the elections.”
