Newly elected Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will visit rain-hit Gwadar on Tuesday.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will reach Gwadar on March 5 after taking oath and will visit the rain-affected areas.
The Prime Minister will also review the relief activities and announce the relief package for the victims.
Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem - Corps Commander of Balochistan Corps - undertook a visit to the affected areas to assess the situation firsthand and extend support to the flood victims.
His visit aimed at personally assessing the situation and extending support to the distressed flood victims.
Accompanied by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gwadar Division, the Corps Commander engaged in crucial discussions with local authorities and community leaders to comprehend the challenges confronting the affected populace.
75% rain water extracted from Gwadar: PDMA
Pakistan Army, Navy, PDMA and other organizations are conducting rescue and relief operations in Gwadar and said that 75 percent of the water accumulated in Gwadar has been removed.
“Even now, the process of extracting water is going on. People have been shifted to safer places from the residential areas where water had accumulated,” PDMA spokesperson said.

“Free medical camps have also been established in Gwadar with the support of Pakistan Army and district administration,” PDMA said.

Bugti emerged as the sole candidate for the coveted position of Chief Minister, as no other contenders submitted their nomination papers by the deadline of 5 pm.
