Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday vowed to make joint efforts in a bid to foster the country’s economy.
The newly-elected premier hosted the luncheon for the coalition partners in Islamabad. On this occasion, the allied parties’ top brass, senators, and newly-elected lawmakers attended the diner.
Expressing his thoughts, PM Shehbaz emphasised the need for collaborative efforts, saying, “We will have to change the destiny of the country by joining hands together.”
The premier talked about the presidential election, saying, “We got to vote for Asif Ali Zardari in the presidential election,” he added.
PM Shehbaz urged the lawmakers to ensure their presence on the occasion of the forthcoming presidential election.
He said: “It is once again the coalition government that came into power in the centre. We are facing mounting challenges. We got to be united to change the fate of the masses.”

Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that the coalition government will look to revive the country’s economy.
Expressing his thoughts, the former foreign minister said: “Asif Ali Zardari will be the first civilian to become the country’s president for a second term.”
Bhutto-Zardari resolved to “accomplish the mission” of the charter of the economy by joining hands with the allies. “This time around, we will have more success than before," he added.
Meanwhile, Bhutto-Zardari will reach Lahore on a one-day visit tomorrow.
Bhutto-Zardari is expected to hold the meeting with the newly-elected Punjab Assembly members.
The meeting between the PPP chairman and lawmakers is expected to be held at the Governor's House.
Sources revealed that former Punjab governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood will also be present on the occasion.
