The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued its reaction to the press conference of Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
The party has denied writing any letter to the European Union regarding Pakistan's GSP Plus status and stressed that it did not even intend to do so.
A PTI spokesperson called Attaullah Tarar's press conference a "pack of lies" and rejected all the allegations made against the party. The party called the minister's press conference from earlier on Wednesday as "nothing but a combination of lies, rhetoric, accusations, and nonsense".

Earlier on Wednesday, Information Minister Tarar had condemned a certain party leader's alleged contact with the European Union, claiming that in the past too, conspiracies had been hatched to sabotage the IMF deal and recently also, an attempt was made to halt an IMF program.

The minister had pointed fingers at specific individuals, including former finance minister Shaukat Tarin's purported involvement in attempts to sabotage agreements with the IMF. He also alleged that lobbying was underway to withdraw Pakistan's GSP Plus status from the European Union. This move, the minister claimed, was an attack on Pakistan's economy and an attempt to deprive the country of foreign exchange and opportunities for economic growth.
"A certain political party does not see national interest. It has no interest in the integrity of Pakistan. Pakistan will get foreign exchange through the GSP Plus status, inflation will decrease and employment opportunities will be available," he had asserted.
