Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Nadeem Afzal Chan delved into the dynamics of Pakistani politics, shedding light on the challenges faced by politicians and the evolving landscape of power.
During a candid discussion on Samaa Digital’s Ramadan Transmission, Chan while reflecting on the dynamics of political engagement, noted that politicians often convene in talk shows and events, suggesting that if they can unite in these arenas, they should also be able to come together in Parliament to address national issues collectively.
Offering insight into the interconnectedness of political power structures, Chan described bureaucracy as a close companion to politicians, alongside generals or judges, illustrating the intricate relationships within the political landscape.
Addressing concerns about corruption, the PPP leader expressed a belief that the infiltration of businessmen into politics has contributed to its increase, raising questions about the influence of different sectors on political integrity.
He also disclosed that Aseefa Bhutto, a leader of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), is set to contest the upcoming by-election from Nawabshah. However, he emphasized that commentary on Aseefa’s political trajectory should be reserved until she officially begins her practical engagement in politics.
