Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal fired a fresh broadside at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Speaking to media, Iqbal said: “The PTI is harming the country worldwide. The United States and International Monetary Fund (IMF) cannot provide the NRO to the PTI founder.”
He said: “We [PML-N] had never caused the uproar of bogus cases at the international forums. We faced bogus cases, and our leaders faced jail.”
Iqbal asked the PTI founder to prove his innocence in court. “The PTI is damaging the country’s reputation.”
“We had never penned a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or European Union (EU), despite the PML-N’s reservations about the 2018 general elections,” Iqbal said.
Recalling the events that transpired on May 9, she lamented, “The military installations were attacked on May 9.”
– ‘Increase in population’ –
Iqbal expressed concern on Friday over an increase in population.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Iqbal said: “The population has surged to 2.55 percent.”. Iqbal urged the need to increase production through population control.
He asked the provinces to work on population control for the betterment of the masses.
“Half of our children are malnourished. The mental capacity of children is being affected,” Iqbal added.
Iqbal underscored the importance of taking advantage of the data obtained from the census.
