Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Rana Sanaullah on Saturday reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan's legal woes asserted that rather than being harmed by the convictions, Khan had garnered sympathy.
In a recent interview with Samaa TV’s programme “Mere Sawal With Muneeb Farooq,” the seasoned politician expressed his views on Imran Khan's political tactics, stating that Khan aimed to obliterate the political existence of his opponents.
"Khan's ability to maintain public support despite convictions reflects a broader sentiment among the populace," said Rana Sanaullah.
Turning to the issue of accountability, Sanaullah criticised the government's handling of cases such as the May 9 incident, alleging inadequate action against the accused.
He pledged to expose what he termed as "fitna" (discord) orchestrated by the PTI and outlined the opposition's strategies to counter such moves.

Furthermore, Sanaullah discussed the PML-N's stance regarding the PTI government's attempts to undermine their political existence. He highlighted Shehbaz Sharif's experience in coalition governance and expressed confidence in the team formed under his leadership.
Addressing recent appointments within the government, Sanaullah commended the decision to appoint Muhammad Aurangzeb as Finance Minister and Mohsin Naqvi as Interior Minister, asserting their suitability for their respective roles.
On the legal front, Sanaullah clarified that there are currently no ongoing cases against Nawaz Sharif, emphasizing his status as a free citizen. He mentioned Sharif's intentions to visit Umrah and undergo medical check-ups in London while maintaining a permanent residence in Pakistan.
