Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Tuesday that a delay in the power supply to Gwadar is not acceptable.
Expressing his thoughts, "East-Bay Motorway will also pave the way for Gwadar to become a smart port. Five new economic corridors will be established in line with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase-II."
"The project will add fresh impetus to the industry," he added.

Few days back, Iqbal asked the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to play a "positive" role in the assemblies.
Expressing his thoughts in Zafarwal, Iqbal took a swipe at the PTI, saying, "The political party that did not manage to hold its intraparty elections, secured its seats by forming an alliance with another political party."
He emphasised the need for embracing unity, saying, "We all can address the myriad challenges by joining hands together. One of the biggest challenges is to revive the country's economy.".
The PML-N stalwart asked the PTI to do its self-accountability before hurling allegations at the opponents. He questioned: "How can they [the PTI] fix the country's problems if they will continue to hurl allegations at the opponents?
