Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Iranian Ambassador Dr Reza Amiri Moghaddam discussed bilateral trade on Wednesday.
Moghaddam called on Iqbal in Islamabad. On this occasion, both leaders discussed the historical ties between the two countries.
“The trade volume between the two countries can be increased many times,” the federal minister added.

Earlier today, Iqbal said that the country was facing severe economic hardships.
Expressing his thoughts, Iqbal said: "All the matters of the government are running on the loans. This is a warning sign for us."
Iqbal urged the need to increase production capacity, revenue, and exports in a bid to get the country's economy back on track.
"The country has no other option with the exception of economic progress up to nine percent," he added.
