Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday called for a joint strategy in a bid to uplift the health sector.
Addressing an event in Islamabad, Iqbal said: "During the 16-month rule, the Zero Hepatitis Campaign was launched." The minister admitted that the health sector faces many challenges.
He urged the need to establish new institutions to uplift the health sector. "It is quite important to provide the best health facilities to every citizen," he added.
Iqbal maintained: "Without any political differences, providing the best health facilities to every citizen is the topmost priority of the government."

Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Wednesday that the country was facing severe economic hardships.
Expressing his thoughts, Iqbal said: "All the matters of the government are running on the loans. This is a warning sign for us."
Iqbal urged the need to increase production capacity, revenue, and exports in a bid to get the country's economy back on track.
"The country has no other option with the exception of economic progress up to nine percent," he added.
