Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently held a crucial meeting with officials from the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, focusing on the ongoing investigation into the suicide attack in Shangla, where five Chinese nationals were killed.
The meeting aimed to provide updates to the Chinese special investigation team visiting regarding the progress made thus far in the investigation.
During the meeting, Minister Naqvi briefed the Chinese team on the status of the investigation into the Shangla attack and assured them of Pakistan's commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice. Discussions also revolved around enhancing security measures and ensuring the overall protection of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.

In addition to meeting with the special investigation team, Minister Naqvi held discussions with the Chinese ambassador, reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering support for China-Pakistan cooperation.
On Thursday, the Chinese Embassy reiterated that no attempt to sabotage China-Pakistan cooperation will be allowed.

"We will continue to support Pakistan's socio-economic development and efforts to improve the lives of its people. We are committed to working with the people of both countries and providing maximum benefit to them," a statement by the embassy spokesperson said.
The spokesperson further called terrorism "humanity’s common enemy".
