Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the authorities concerned to ensure foolproof measures to protect Chinese citizens.
He gave these instructions while presiding over a meeting convened at the Ministry of Interior to address security concerns regarding Chinese citizens residing in Pakistan. The meeting, which took place in Lahore, focused on reviewing and enhancing security measures to ensure the safety of foreigners, particularly those from China.

During the meeting, Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the paramount importance of protecting foreign nationals, particularly Chinese citizens, residing in Pakistan. He stressed the need for foolproof security measures to safeguard their well-being and ensure their peace of mind while in the country.
"Protection of foreigners, especially Chinese citizens, is our top priority," stated Naqvi, highlighting the government's commitment to ensuring their safety and security.
He also directed to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) aimed at bolstering security measures for foreigners, with a specific focus on Chinese residents. He reiterated the importance of strict adherence to these protocols to mitigate any potential security threats.

Furthermore, the minister condemned the nefarious intentions of elements seeking to disrupt the development and prosperity of Pakistan. He affirmed that the government, under his leadership, would not allow such malicious agendas to succeed.
In addition to deliberating on security arrangements, the meeting included a comprehensive briefing on the existing measures in place to protect foreigners, providing insights into the efforts undertaken to ensure their safety within the country.
