Ukraine's air force said on Monday that Russia had fired two dozen attack drones on the country throughout the night, primarily targeting vital infrastructure in the south and east of the nation, according to Reuters.
According to a statement on the messaging app Telegram, the air force shot down 17 of the Iranian-made Shahed drones that Russia used in its strikes over the areas of Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr.
It further stated that a guided air missile, the Kh-59, launched by Russia, was destroyed over the Dnipropetrovsk area.
Oleh Kiper, the regional governor, reported that four drones were destroyed over the southern part of Odesa.
"A logistics and transport facility was damaged," Kiper added on Telegram. "A gas station was also damaged by the wreckage of a downed Shahed."
He said that there were no casualties in the attack.
Reuters was unable to confirm the reports on its own. Russia restrained from commenting immediately.
