The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a weather alert for heavy rainfall in several districts of Punjab, including Lahore, tonight.
According to PDMA, there is a likelihood of rain in Murree, Guliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, and Narowal on Saturday night, with possible occurrences of hailstorms, strong winds, and thundershowers at a few locations.
Furthermore, PDMA forecasts the possibility of rainfall in Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sahiwal, Bhakkar, Leh, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The spokesperson for PDMA has relayed that the Director-General of PDMA has directed deputy commissioners across the province to remain vigilant and instructed relevant departments to be prepared to address any emergency situations.
