Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued travel guidelines for passengers planning to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as air operations to Dubai and Sharjah have been severely affected by torrential rains.
In response to the adverse weather conditions in the UAE, a PIA spokesperson has said that air operations of various airlines, including PIA, will remain suspended until further notice. Some flights of the national airline are experiencing delays and cancellations due to the inclement weather, he added.
Despite the disruptions, the spokesperson said, PIA reassures passengers of its commitment to their safety and well-being. The airline is closely monitoring the situation and will resume its air operations as soon as the weather conditions improve.

Passengers booked on affected flights are advised to contact the PIA call centre for updates and information regarding their travel arrangements. PIA remains dedicated to providing timely assistance and support to its passengers during this challenging period, the spokesman said.
As the airline continues to navigate through the challenges posed by the weather conditions, passengers are encouraged to stay informed and follow the guidance provided by PIA to ensure a smooth travel experience.
Meanwhile, bad weather throughout the UAE caused Emirates to cancel a number of flights. There have also been fewer flights at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Emirates released a statement, saying, “Customers arriving or departing from Dubai airport on May 2 can expect some delays as flights are rescheduled."
