The Khuzdar city of Balochistan was rocked by a devastating explosion in the Chamrok area, killing three people on Friday.
One of the deceased was identified as Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal, the president of the Khuzdar Press Club. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the risks faced by journalists and media personnel in conflict-prone regions.
According to police reports, nine other individuals, including a policeman, were also injured in the blast, further adding to the gravity of the situation. The injured were shifted to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital. Later, two of the injured also died during treatment.

The deceased Maulana Mengal was the provincial deputy emir of the JUI-F, as per the police, and was going to the mosque to offer Friday prayers. His car was hit by a magnet bomb in Chamrok area, they added. Mengal has also been attacked previously, police said.
According to the CCTV footage of the incident that has been obtained, the terrorists could be seen planting a magnet bomb on the victim's car. In the footage, an explosion can also be seen as soon as the terrorist reaches a short distance from the vehicle.
The exact cause and nature of the explosion are yet to be determined, as investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
