Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the restoration of its flight operations to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following clearance from the UAE Aviation Authority.
The decision to resume flights comes after a temporary suspension due to forecasted heavy rains in the UAE.
According to a spokesperson for PIA, the national airline had temporarily halted its flight operations as a precautionary measure in light of the adverse weather conditions in the UAE. However, with the improvement in weather conditions, PIA has resumed its regular flight schedule to destinations in the UAE.

Passengers who were affected by the cancellation of flights are advised to contact PIA's call centre for assistance with rebooking or refunds. The airline is working diligently to accommodate affected passengers and ensure minimal disruption to travel plans.
On Thursday, bad weather throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE) caused Emirates to cancel a number of flights. There have also been fewer flights at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Emirates released a statement, saying, “Customers arriving or departing from Dubai airport on May 2 can expect some delays as flights are rescheduled."

PIA had issued travel guidelines for passengers planning to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as air operations to Dubai and Sharjah have been severely impacted by torrential rains.
In response to the adverse weather conditions in the UAE, a PIA spokesperson has said that air operations of various airlines, including PIA, will remain suspended until further notice. Some flights of the national airline are experiencing delays and cancellations due to the inclement weather, he added.
Despite the disruptions, the spokesperson said, PIA reassures passengers of its commitment to their safety and well-being. The airline is closely monitoring the situation and will resume its air operations as soon as the weather conditions improve.
