Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz resolved on Thursday to avert events like May 9 in the future.
Expressing her thoughts on the occasion of the May 9 anniversary, CM Maryam said: "May 9 mayhem is the blackest chapter in the country's history. Even the enemies cannot do what those who were looking for power did on May 9."
CM Maryam maintained: "Those who tried to weaken the country are exposed. They [the May 9 culprits] do not deserve forgiveness for harming the country for the sake of staging politics."
"Those who have maligned the martyrs are not aware of their [martyrs] status," she said.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the nation will not forgive the perpetrators of May 9 vandalism.
According to the details, the premier chaired a special meeting of the federal cabinet. On this occasion, the PM recalled the May 9 riots. "Despite the passing of one year, the people of the country have not forgotten their culprits," he said.
PM Shehbaz said: "May 9 is not only the darkest day in the country's history. But it is also a day that brings differences in thinking".
Asif said, "On one side, there are the valiant sons, their families, and the patriotic masses. On the other hand, there exist characters who have nothing to do with the national interests."
