The hearing of £190 million reference against PTI founder Bashri Bibi has been adjourned until June 11.
The adjournment came after the PTI founder's lawyers objected to appointing the new judge, Muhammad Ali Waraich.
Barrister Salman Safdar argued that the Law Ministry's notification regarding the appointment of the new judge is invalid. He further contended that the judge of Court No. 1 cannot preside over cases in Court No. 2 under additional charges.
The prosecution team also presented their arguments concerning the appointment of the new judge. The court will issue its verdict on the objections raised by the defense lawyers on June 11.
Due to these objections, no witness statements could be recorded or cross-examined during the hearing. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich presided over the session, which took place in Adiala Jail.
