Today, Pakistan experiences a mix of weather phenomena across its various regions, as reported by the Met Department and local sources.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a few places are expected to witness rain, providing relief from the scorching heat. Meanwhile, in Islamabad, the weather is forecast to remain hot and dry during the day. However, residents should brace themselves for possible thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds in the evening.
Central and southern Punjab, northeastern and southern Balochistan, and upper and central Sindh are all anticipated to receive rainfall. This precipitation offers a welcome respite from the dry conditions and may help alleviate concerns about water scarcity in these areas.
Balochistan
In contrast, most districts of Balochistan are likely to remain dry and hot. However, specific regions such as Khuzdar, Qalat, Jhal Magsi, Sibbi, Nasirabad, and Jafarabad have a chance of rain over the next 24 hours. Additionally, rain with thunder is expected in Usta Muhammad, Dera Bugti, Barkhan, Musakhel, Shirani, Zhob, and surrounding areas.
Lahore
In Lahore, the weather has seen a reduction in the intensity of heat, attributed to the winds sweeping through the city.
The weather department has recorded a reduction in the severity of humidity and warm winds and also forecast rain for today. There has been a significant drop in temperature due to the winds blowing in Lahore.
While this brings some relief to residents, load shedding continues to be a challenge, despite claims by authorities. Despite having more than 70,000 transformers, the replacement of overloaded transformers has not been carried out, resulting in eight to 10 hours of load shedding.
This prolonged power outage is causing inconvenience to citizens, especially during the sweltering summer months.
As Pakistan experiences these varied weather patterns, citizens are advised to stay updated on local forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and well-being.
