Karachi Police investigations uncovered that the mastermind behind the crime was none other than DSP Legal Zafar Javed himself.
Initial reports claimed the involvement of DSP's son, but police investigations now confirm DSP Javed's direct role in the incident.
The incident occurred in Gulshan-e-Iqbal’s local paan shop. A CCTV footage emerged right after the incident in which persons in plain clothes could be seen entering shop through counter and taking away valuables and cash.
According to police sources, DSP Javed and his associates or personnel employees, identified as Rafi and Bilal, were using their positions to perpetrate the crime.
Both individuals, employed privately by DSP Javed, carried out the robbery while disguised with masks.
The investigation team tracked their involvement through mobile phone records, revealing DSP Javed's presence at the crime scene during the incident.
The case has sparked widespread shock and condemnation.
The victim urged the Police to provide justice.
