Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached out to various political leaders over the phone to convey Eid-ul-Azha greetings and discuss matters of national importance.
During the conversations, he congratulated Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto, Head of JUI Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Secretary League Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chairman MQM Khalid Muqoob, and Federal Minister for Investment Board Abdul Aleem Khan.
In return, the Prime Minister extended Eid greetings to Abdul Aleem Khan, Khalid Magsi, Akhtar Mengal, and Aftab Sherpao.
He reiterated his commitment to working together for the betterment of Pakistan and expressed hope that all parties would continue their role in ensuring economic stability.
Emphasizing hard work, the premier affirmed Pakistan’s determination to regain its position, especially in comparison to India.
He also highlighted the government's efforts to provide relief to the people through the recent budget measures.
Political leaders affirmed their commitment to cooperating with the coalition government for the progress of the nation.
PM Shehbaz also contacted the top leadership of Pakistan Armed Forces to greet them on Eid-ul-Azha. The prime minister conveyed Eid greetings to Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu.
The prime minister said that the entire nation, including him, paid tribute to the Jawans of the armed forces that were safeguarding the frontiers of the country. He said under the professional leadership of the top brass of Pakistan Armed Forces, Jawans had been foiling the nefarious designs of enemies and terrorists.
He contacted Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider, Governor Sindh Kamran Tissori, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fasial Karim Kundi, Govenor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on telephone and congratulated them on Eid and expressed good wishes.
Sharif also contacted President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq and extended Eid greetings. He also expressed his good wishes to them.
He conveyed Eid greetings to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Gulbar Khan. On the occasion of Eid ul Azha, the prime minister reiterated the national unity and harmony.
