Pakistan Railways has announced the launch of additional trains to accommodate the increased number of traveller due to the immense rush and overcrowding in trains during summer holidays.
This initiative aims to provide relief to passengers and ensure a more comfortable travel experience.
The newly introduced "Summer Vacation Special Train" will operate between Karachi and Rawalpindi. The train service is scheduled to depart from Karachi at 8:45pm and is expected to reach Lahore by 3:40pm the following day.
This special service will commence its first journey from Rawalpindi on July 5 at 12:30pm.
The Summer Vacation Special Train is equipped with 17 coaches to cater to the diverse needs of passengers. The composition of the train includes:
- 2 AC Business class coaches
- 2 AC Standard class coaches
- 12 Economy class coaches
- 1 Power train
The introduction of this special train service is part of Pakistan Railways' efforts to enhance its capacity and provide better facilities to passengers during the peak travel season.
With the addition of these extra trains, the railway authorities aim to alleviate the pressure on existing services and offer a more convenient travel option for families and individuals planning their vacations.
