The Islamabad High Court and its subordinate courts have announced their summer vacation schedules, providing relief to judges, lawyers, and court staff during the sweltering summer months.
According to notifications issued with the approval of the chief justice, the Islamabad High Court will observe its summer vacation from July 10 to September 10.
In contrast, the district courts East and West in Islamabad will commence their summer vacation slightly later, starting from August 1 as per their notification. Meanwhile, the subordinate courts will have a shorter holiday period, concluding their vacation on August 31, as specified in their notification.
The Registrar Office of the Islamabad High Court confirmed the issuance of both notifications, emphasizing that despite the vacation period, urgent and emergency cases will continue to be heard.

This ensures that essential judicial functions are maintained without interruption during the specified vacation periods.
Moreover, urgent and emergency cases will continue to be heard during the vacations.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court announced summer vacation from July 1. Acting Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court Shujaat Ali Khan signed the roster of summer vacations.

There will be a four-week summer vacation from July 1. It is pertinent to note that important cases will be heard during the summer vacation.
The Sindh High Court and its subordinate courts will also observe summer vacation from June 3 to August 3, according to a recently released notification. Owing to the break, a new roster of benches and judges was also issued to hear important cases.
During this period, the Sindh High Court principal seat will operate with judges in three division benches and four single benches.
