Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, has identified Operation Resolve as a crucial element in the nation’s counter-terrorism strategy.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference was convened, where rich tributes were paid to the sacrifices of the martyrs from the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies, along with Pakistani citizens, for their contributions to peace and stability in the country.
A comprehensive review of the internal and external security situation was conducted, with detailed discussions on “Azm-e-Istehkam,” a national initiative aimed at coordinating counter-terrorism efforts to dismantle terrorism networks and illegal activities, ensuring lasting stability and economic prosperity.
The forum also addressed concerns over unwarranted criticism and speculation from certain quarters aimed at advancing specific interests. The participants reiterated the importance of national unity and resilience in the face of these challenges.
The conference also deliberated on the regional security situation, particularly focusing on Afghanistan, and reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and security.
Solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine was expressed, with strong condemnation of human rights violations, war crimes, and genocide in Kashmir and Gaza.
The military leadership acknowledged the challenges facing the nation and expressed their commitment to finding lasting solutions within constitutional limits, with the support of the Pakistani people.
The forum also condemned politically motivated digital terrorism, noting that it is fueled by external anti-state forces aiming to spread disillusionment and despair through lies, fake news, and propaganda. The Armed Forces and the nation are united and determined to defeat these conspiracies.
The conference underscored its full cooperation in ongoing efforts for social and economic development, supporting the government's initiatives to restore investor confidence, and ensuring economic stability and growth.
Expressing satisfaction with the Army's dedication to national security, COAS stressed maintaining high standards of professionalism and operational preparedness.
The COAS emphasized that the Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to counter all internal and external challenges, playing a crucial role in the stability and prosperity of Pakistan, regardless of the challenges faced.
