A case of alleged murder of a detainee was registered against the jail administration and the opponents in Sadar Baruni Police Station on the complaint of Shahid Nisar Bhatti, the father of the deceased Shawez Bhatti.
A day earlier Lahore Additional Sessions Judge's approved the bail of the slain detainee.
“A few days ago, the deceased argued with Saeem Abbas, the warden of Adiala Jail Barrack 1 Room 2. Last night, the son's physical condition was reported on the phone and he was in DHQ hospital. On reaching the hospital, it was found that the son had expired and the dead body is in the mortuary,’ he said.
As per FIR, it is believed that the jail administration has killed the son along with the opponents. “In the meeting on July 4, the son had told that his life was in danger,” according to the text of the case.
