A rally was held in Karachi to commemorate the eighth death anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, led by Ghulam Muhammad Safi, convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
According to Kashmir Media Service, thousands participated in the rally, including leaders from various political, religious, and social organizations in Pakistan. Notable attendees included Advocate Parvez Ahmad, Ejaz Rahmani, Raja Khadim Hussain, and Imtiaz Wani from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir chapter.
The rally marched from Karachi Arts Council to the Press Club. Participants included Saeed Ghani of Pakistan Peoples Party, Amin-ul-Haq of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Parvez of Jamaat-e-Islami, Raja Azhar, Mufti Usman, Saleem Elias, Abdul Rahman, Dr. Sabir Abu of Palestinian Foundation, Dr. Mariam. Azad Kashmir Minister Amir Ghaffar Lone, and Qazi Bashir, president of Peoples Party Lawyers Forum.
Protesters carried banners featuring Burhan Wani's images and chanted slogans calling for Kashmir's independence from Indian control.
