The Indian batters had witnessed a jump in the ICC T20I rankings following the triumph against Zimbabwe in five-match series.
According to the details, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday issued the latest rankings. Australian batter Travis Head retained the number one spot in the T20I rankings.
Suryakumar Yadav retained the second spot. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who proved his mettle against Zimbabwe in the away series, jumped four spots to bag sixth position.
Shubman Gill, who was appointed as the T20I captain for the Zimbabwe series, jumped 36 spots to grab the 37th position in the rankings.
Meanwhile, England's Phil Salt placed in the number three position. Pakistan white-ball captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan secured fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
Moreover, England spinner Adil Rashid spearheaded the bowling rankings. Pakistan speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi jumped three spots to secure the 14th position.
On the other side, Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga secured first position in the all-rounder rankings.
