Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Wednesday that his party will oppose the decision to ban the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Expressing his thoughts, Kaira said: “The political parties can only be defeated in the political arena. The political parties that are embracing fascism can be dealt with in a democratic way.”

“My party [PPP] will show resistance in line with the ban on the PTI,” he said.

Kaira said: “It doesn’t mean that the government has taken the decision to ban the PTI. The reference to ban the PTI will be sent to the court, and the bench will be former.”
PTI has itself to blame, says Murad
Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Tuesday that the PTI has itself to blame over what the party is facing currently.
Expressing his thoughts in line with banning the former ruling party, CM Murad said: "The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has never supported the ban on any of the political parties."
"The PPP was not taken on board in connection with taking the decision to ban the PTI," he said.
