The Met Department has issued a weather alert, predicting widespread rain across various regions of Pakistan.
The forecast includes potential rainfall in both the northern and southern parts of the country, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in some areas.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Residents in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, and Buner should prepare for rain, as these areas are likely to experience showers. Additionally, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, and Charsadda are also expected to receive rain.
The Met Office has further forecast rain with strong winds in Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Punjab
In Punjab, rain is likely in several cities, including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, and Faisalabad. The northern areas of the province, such as Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Narowal, are also expected to experience showers.
Furthermore, rain may occur in Khushab, Sargodha, Layyah, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rajanpur. The southern regions, including Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, and Kot Addu, are also forecasted to receive rain with wind and thunder.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan
Partly cloudy weather is expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, with a chance of rain and strong winds in some areas. Thundershowers are also predicted at a few places in these regions.
