After 2021, the Afghan land was started to be narrowed down for the Hazara community by the Afghan Taliban. Under an organized plan, the Afghan Taliban continue to exploit and eliminate the members of the Hazara community.
Recently, the Afghan Taliban extorted 15 million in Afghan currency from the Hazara community members in Gizab district of Uruzgan province following a land dispute.
The Taliban warned the Hazara to pay the remaining 15 million within two months or face forced expulsion from the area. The Hazara community claimed that the Taliban are occupying their land and extorting money from them while they have all the documents to prove their ownership.
As per Afghanistan International News, residents of Gizab district called the Taliban's pressure and extortion of money unfair. Every other day, incidents of violence and abuses by the Taliban on the Hazara community become the center of international attention.
Recently, on July 21, an armed group of the Afghan Taliban stabbed a Shia cleric to death in a mosque in Shashpar area of Uruzgan province. The killing of the Shia cleric by the Taliban has been deemed a clear sign of hatred and violence against the Hazara community on Afghan soil.
Not only do the Taliban support violence against the Hazara community, they also apprehend those who speak out against it. The international community should take strict action against the Taliban's murders against the minorities, especially the Hazara community.
