Transporters did not decrease the fares of intra-city and inter-city routes despite Pakistani currency outperforming the US dollar rate and an Rs8 relief in petrol prices announced three days ago.
Karachi citizens talking to SAMAA TV urged authorities to look into the matter and rationalize the transport fares with the POL prices.
Citizens questioned why haven’t transporters decreased the inter-city and intra-city transport fares of buses despite the Rs8 decrease in petrol price. A number of citizens expressed their thoughts on the situation and urged authorities to ensure the writ of the government.
