Pakistan Internet users will continue facing disruptions in service, even after the deadline set by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority for the resolution.
With the country inching into its 21st day of slow internet, officials hinted full restoration would take more time.
The PTA officials have said that the slow speed is mainly happening due to two out of seven submarine cables of the country being faulty.
The process of re-routing the AAE-1 cable is likely to be completed in another day or two, and after that, there will be some improvement in services, but the repair of the SMW4 cable will take a couple more weeks to be completed.
It further added that full restoration of internet services can only be achieved once the second submarine cable repairs are completed. Otherwise slow internet speeds and intermittent connectivity issues will continue to jeopardize the full internet experience for users all across the country.
