Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser on Monday called for the resignation of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Speaking during a National Assembly session , Qaiser criticised Naqvi's handling of the security issues and his involvement in cricket, asserting that neither responsibility was being managed effectively.
Qaiser also took a dig at the Balochistan's government, saying, "The fake individuals are in positions of power and that recent incidents in the region reflect a failure of intelligence". He urged that the country be governed according to the constitution and the law.
In response, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarrar countered Qaiser's allegations, asserting, "The current issues of terrorism were a result of the previous government's policies, including their actions involving the Taliban".
He expressed condolences for the personnel of security forces who embraced martyrdom in the Balochistan attack, paying tribute to the martyrs and the injured.
