The Special Communications Organization (SCO) has inaugurated a Software Technology Park and Freelancing Hub in Kotli, Azad Kashmir. Major General Umar Ahmad Shah, Director General of SCO, officiated the opening ceremony, which was attended by civil and military officials, along with numerous youth and students.
This facility is part of SCO's broader initiative, which has established over 40 state-of-the-art software technology parks across Azad Kashmir. These parks, equipped with cutting-edge telecommunication technology, are designed to provide opportunities for local youth in remote and underdeveloped areas of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The SCO's efforts aim to empower the region's youth by providing access to modern technological resources. This initiative is part of a larger commitment to enhance digital capabilities and create economic opportunities in these areas.
The establishment of these technology parks represents a significant investment in the region's digital infrastructure. By bringing advanced technological resources to remote areas, the project aims to bridge the digital divide and foster local talent in the field of information technology and freelancing.
Officials stated that such initiatives demonstrate the commitment to empowering youth in the region, potentially leading to increased economic activity and skill development in the information technology sector.
