Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Sunday lavished his praise on the icon of Kashmiri struggle, Syed Ali Geelani, on the occasion of the latter's third death anniversary.
According to details, paying a glowing tribute to Geelani, who is widely regarded as “Baba-e-Hurriyat” (father of the freedom movement), the former foreign minister said: "Syed Ali Geelani had stood firmly against the Indian atrocities. It is commendable the way Syed Ali Geelani struggled for the sake of fundamental human rights like independence."
Bhutto-Zardari said: "The peace process of the entire region is jeopardized due to the Kashmir dispute. The solution to all the problems in connection with the Kashmir dispute can only be addressed through the will of Kashmiri people."
He assured that the PPP will continue to acknowledge the struggle of Kashmiris for the right to self-determination.
