Three men allegedly gang-raped dancers who were invited under the pretext of performing at a mehndi ceremony in the Thatti Araian area of Wazirabad.
According to the first information report (FIR), the women were lured to the location by the suspect, who had previously invited them to various functions.
The victims complained that previously, the same people invited them to different functions, so they went to this event on that confidence. When they went ahead, they said, the mehndi organizer took them to a house instead of the function, where two other people were already present. The three men then allegedly subjected the women to brutal sexual assault, they alleged.
Following the incident, the victims reported the crime to the Saddar police, leading to the registration of a case. Authorities have since apprehended one of the suspects, while the other two remain at large.
Police are conducting raids to apprehend the fugitives and have assured that they are committed to bringing all those involved to justice.
