Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub on Tuesday reiterated the demand for holding snap polls in the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Ayub said: "September 9 was the blackest day in the country's history. The parliament was attacked during the last night and early morning."
"I have complained from Ayaz Sadiq that how did he give the permission for entry," Ayub lamented.
– Police release Barrister Gohar after Sangjani unrest –
Separately, Islamabad police had released PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan following the violation of NOC in connection with the Sangjani's power show.
According to details, Islamabad police had discharged Khan from the case registered against him at the Sangjani police station.
Earlier, the Islamabad police had arrested several key leaders of the PTI following the violation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) during a rally held in the Sangjani area of the capital and not following the allocated deadline to end the event.
The police action took place late on Monday night and led to the arrest of prominent figures such as PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Sher Afzal Marwat, Shoaib Shaheen, Zain Qureshi, Sheikh Waqas Akram, and 12 other PTI members.
Marwat was detained while returning from a National Assembly session, and Shoaib Shaheen apprehended from his residence. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was arrested outside the Parliament House in a coordinated operation.
Meanwhile, Marwat's private security guard was taken into custody for allegedly resisting the police during the arrest. The arrests were carried out at the gate of the Parliament House and inside it.
