The Lahore High Court has issued a written order of the previous hearing in the case regarding the implementation of its decision on the reserved seats for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
In the order, Justice Raheel Kamran Sheikh directed the chief election commissioner (CEC) to submit a reply at the next hearing. The court also gave the additional attorney general one final opportunity to submit a response before the hearing continues.
The court's one-page written order emphasized that the matter will be taken up again on October 4. The PTI has maintained that it has yet to be awarded its reserved seats, despite a previous court ruling in its favour. The party has filed the application seeking the implementation of the court's earlier order to allocate the reserved seats.
On September 24, a miscellaneous petition was filed in the Lahore High Court, urging the implementation of the Supreme Court's decision regarding the allocation of reserved seats. The application was filed by Munir Ahmed.

The petitioner argued that despite a detailed decision from the eight-member bench of the Supreme Court, the ruling had yet to be implemented. According to the petitioner, the Supreme Court issued a clear directive, but the allocation of reserved seats to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had not been carried out.
The petition also highlighted that letters were sent to the speakers of all four provincial assemblies also, urging compliance with the Supreme Court’s decision. However, the PTI had not yet received the reserved seats as per the court's directive.
The petitioner has requested the Lahore High Court to issue an order compelling the relevant authorities to immediately implement the Supreme Court's decision and allocate the reserved seats to PTI without further delay.
