The hearing of the Toshakhana 2 case against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Bushra Bibi was postponed, with the indictment now scheduled for October 5.
The accused were produced before a special court set up inside Adiala Jail, where Special Judge Central Shah Rukh Arjumand presided over the proceedings.
During the hearing, lawyer Intezr Panjota Intezar Panjutha requested the court to adjourn the proceedings until next Tuesday.
However, the prosecution opposed the lengthy adjournment, urging the court to give a shorter deadline for the accused to appoint their legal counsel. "Tomorrow is the meeting day with the accused; they should appoint their lawyer by tomorrow," argued the prosecution.
The next hearing in high-profile case will continue on October 5, with the accused expected to finalize their legal representation by then.
