Karachi Bomb Disposal Squad (BDDS) has completed its preliminary investigation into the deadly explosion near Karachi Airport, revealing that 70 to 80 kilograms of explosives were used in the attack.
The explosives were found inside a vehicle involved in the suicide attack which targeted a convoy of foreigners near the departure signal at Jinnah International Airport.
The blast claimed the lives of two foreign nationals, while 17 others, including a Chinese citizen, sustained injuries.
BDS experts from all three districts are currently inspecting the crime scene for further analysis.
Following the attack, the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad asked Chinese nationals to be vigilant and take precautionary measures.
Pakistan Foreign Office also strongly condemned the attack on Chinese nationals.
