The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan has intensified its efforts to curb drug trafficking in Balochistan, conducting 272 successful operations across the province in 2023.
These operations led to the recovery of a staggering 51 tons of narcotics and the arrest of 152 individuals involved in drug-related activities. In addition, ANF seized 82 vehicles used for smuggling.
Among the recovered substances were 4.4 tons of opium, 2.3 tons of methamphetamine, 1.5 tons of heroin, 17.3 tons of cannabis, and 1 ton of alcohol.
Other notable recoveries included 831 kilograms of morphine, 402 kilograms of crystal meth, and significant quantities of chemicals like 7.9 tons of hydrochloric acid and 7.3 tons of sulfuric acid. Additionally, 5.7 tons of ephedrine and 3 kilograms of ecstasy pills were also seized.
ANF's relentless drive to eradicate drug trafficking highlights its commitment to ensuring a drug-free environment, especially for the youth of Balochistan.
