In an ongoing effort to rid Pakistan of the growing drug menace, the government and military leadership have intensified operations against drug dealers across the country.
Since the launch of these operations in September 2023, security forces have seized a staggering 1,053.43 metric tons of various narcotics and arrested 2,056 individuals involved in drug trafficking.
During October alone, significant quantities of drugs were confiscated from different regions. Security forces recovered 16.15 kilograms from Balochistan, 2.58 kilograms from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 214.53 kilograms from Gilgit-Baltistan, 43.62 kilograms from Punjab, and 11.46 kilograms from Sindh.
These nationwide operations demonstrate the firm resolve of the security forces to continue their crackdown until Pakistan is completely free from the curse of drugs. Authorities remain committed to pursuing and apprehending those involved in this illegal trade to ensure a safer and healthier society.
